Chiringuito "Royal Beach Pirata" Mijas, Spain.

This summer 2020 I was lucky to spend some times in Spain and one day I went for a walk along Mijas beaches.

I was very pleased when I've found this beautiful initiative from the Chiringuito "Royal Beach Pirata" that claims the right to have its beaches clean from rubbish and encourage anyone spending time in the shores not to dirt them.

They thought about smokers too and arranged coconut ashtrays which can be borrowed for the day and returned before going home.

These guys also denounce those who leave masks and pieces of garbage behind, as per the below picture.

I love this initiative and I really hope this example will be copied and paste by all the bars and restaurants that serve their guests along the beaches.

Did any of you have seen something similar somewhere else?

I am looking forward to hearing your stories.

BBC: What if everyone in the world planted a tree?

Hi guys,

What do you think if each one of us in the world would plant a tree?
Maia Film tries to answer this question with the following short documentary!

Nowadays, it is well known that trees are the key to fight climate change and despite that, we are still cutting them down at an alarming rate.

The turning point could be when each one of us plants a tree, as suggested in this video!!

What about the disposal of all these anti-Covid masks and gloves?

Hello guys,

haven't you wondered yet what happens to all these tons of single-use masks and gloves that have been used every day for the last months all over the world?

Where do they end up? How are they disposed of?

Well, it seems that no one really thought about it yet!!

They are washed away in our seas and oceans, creating more pollution in our waters. Plastic in the oceans was a big problem before this pandemic, now it seems we are achieving the point of no return.

Shouldn't we think about our wellbeing in long term too?

Not sure where we are heading as every day there are new rules and regulations put in place that cause lots of confusions among us, but definitely we have to consider the consequences of our choices.

Protecting our environment is not of secondary importance.

What do you think?

MD HOSTELS PREMIUM ECO LUXURY

Hi Friends,

This summer I ended up spending a day in Nerja, in the Spanish Costa del Sol. In this beautiful location, I have discovered this fantastic projected called MD HOSTELS PREMIUM ECO LUXURY.

https://www.mbhostels.es/en/

This building has been restructured and transformed into an environmentally friendly hostel.

There are only 12 rooms, 70% of its energy is created by the solar panels and the waters from showers and sinks are purified and recycled and used for irrigation and laundry. Also, plastic is not used and all the food offered to guests is organic.  ...wow!, this is the place for me :)

I am really excited I have found this hostel and I am confident this will open the way to more and more project of this kind, especially in sunny areas of the planet like Spain.

Please let me know your thoughts!!

What about Trolls Hunting?

Sculptor Thomas Dambo from Danmark is doing a great job of Upcycling. In fact, he collects unwanted materials and creates unique pieces of art. He has sculpted several gigantic trolls and hide them in Copenhagen's wilderness so that anyone can try and have fun with this original treasure hunt.

Definitely, next time I will travel to Danmark I will have a go at it!!
