I've found this company SURFRIDER who organizes amazing events in order to protect oceans, the natural environment and educate the population at the same time.

In their website, they have a number of initiatives and ideas on how to protect and improve our shores and the ocean cleanliness.

Check the following link: https://www.initiativesoceanes.org/en/

While the following link https://surfrider.eu/en/our-missions/marine-litter/ gives an insight some good and tips about the rubbish collection and recycling.

Surfrider also has very interesting posts about recycling and education: https://en.oceancampus.eu/apprendre

If you have time, please check the above links: I would like to know your thoughts!

Soon I will organize another rubbish collection, Would you like to take part and help me?

A SUSTAINABLE MIND PODCASTS

Hello All,

During this lockdown, I've dug even deeper into the environmental issues we are facing nowadays and while some of them made me very sad, some other really blew my mind.

I came across "A Sustainable Mind" podcasts and I've listened to all of them. Marjorie Alexander is the host and producer of this project and I think it is amazing. She interviewed so many interesting people and each one of them gives very inspiring ideas on how to improve the way we are treating our planet. Their point of views are precious.

I really advise connecting and listening to them. This is the website: https://asustainablemind.com/

Definitely, I have been motivated to do even more in regards to our planet and spread this fantastic collection of information.

Let me know if you find them inspiring too,
looking forward to your comments !!!

JENNY'S COMMUNITY PROJECTS

In February, I was looking for a job and since the lockdown came into force I could not find any, so I've dedicated myself to my true passion for the environment and I've created some events where my friends happily joined me and support my Sustainability causes.

We've collected plastics from the River Thames and I've watered some trees that surround the building where I live.

It is amazing to see how people positively get involved and it is really inspiring seeing how sustainable causes can bring people together despite the separation we are forced to have.

I am really proud to have had the opportunity to turn the situation around and be useful rather than being at home and slip into depression.

Lots need to be done, but the beginning is good.

Thank you, my friends!!

CHASING CORALS by NETFLIX

HI GUYS!!

Have you heard about this documentary called CHASING CORALS by Netflix about the coral bleaching?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGGBGcjdjXA&list=PLvahqwMqN4M0GRkZY8WkLZMb6Z-W7qbLA&index=9

In short, it is a documented story about some marine biologists that record and track the dramatic changes that happen in the marine environment in the Queensland coastal reserve of The Great Barrier Reef in a short period of time.

I just watched it last night and it really touched my heart!! I've snorkelled in The Great Barrier Reef about 10 years ago, and it is the best thing I have ever seeing in my all life.

I am heartbroken at the moment I really want to stop this Global Warming to happen!

Who can help me?

Hey Folks,

have you ever listened to LOS 40?

It's a Spanish radio very active in the fight against Climate Change. I've been listening to this station for the last 4 months now and I really enjoy their positive vibes. I was reading their blog yesterday and I've found many interesting information.

In particular, I liked the compilation they've created with songs about our planet, among the artists, there are Coldplay and Laura Pausini. Worth to check it out!!

Support their cause with #IDO and listen to their amazing vibes!!

AIR POLLUTION FALLS THANKS TO CORONAVIRUS

Hello All!!

why not looking at the bright side of this Cov-19 lockdown?

Air pollution and CO2 have dropped worldwide! Amazing eh!!

The Guardian also compares the level of Nitrogen dioxide NO2 in 2019 and 2020 in Northern Italy and in the South of England: what do you think?

Let's hope that these improvements in our lives quality will be maintained even after this lockdown!!

I AM BACK!!! :)

Hello all!!!

    I AM BACK!!
I took a few months break!

The beginning of this 2020 has been uphill for me with some difficult moments... and then the whole world collapsed, so now we are all in the same sh%t!

I have stopped to feel miserable about myself and embrace this new challenge we are all called to face.
For the time being, we have shifted into a virtual life, such a change.

I am sure that as soon as the quarantine will be over, people will be so happy to meet face to face for a chat and exchange a warm and meant hug.

I cannot wait for that moment to come!!

Keeping this positive view of life, I would like to share some amazing pictures of Venice.
I believe many of us were surprised about the clear waters of the city channels.
Ducks, cormorants and fishes are all back in the lagoon while ferries and cruise ships are disappeared.

Food for thoughts!!

I really hope this will be the turning point and the government will implement severe restrictions on the number of tourists allowed in the city! Also, regulations about the use of ferries and the recycling of rubbish!

IT'S TIME TO ACT!!
